Terms of use

Last updated: April 2, 2026

Woof is a service of Nomadis (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Woof website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

United States — federal minimum age for this line of work. The following is general information only and not legal advice. Under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 14 is ordinarily the minimum age for employment in non-agricultural jobs that include paid dog walking when the worker is an employee. Workers 14–15 are subject to strict caps when school is in session—commonly no more than 18 hours per week and no work before 7:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m. (with limited exceptions when school is not in session). Many 16–17 year olds face fewer federal hour restrictions for non-hazardous work, but state and local law, school rules, and whether you are treated as an employee, contractor, or something else can change what applies to you. You are responsible for complying with every rule that governs your situation; consult qualified counsel or official government sources.

Dog walkers on Woof. Because federal law sets 14 as the usual floor for this category of paid work, you may not create or maintain a walker profile, or solicit or accept paid dog walking (or related paid pet-care services) through the Service, unless you are at least 14 years of age at registration and you complete the age confirmation in your walker profile where the Service requests it. Stricter age, hour, or permitting rules where you live still apply.

Minimum age to use Woof (everyone). You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Service in any way (for example to add pets, request walks, or browse signed in). If you are under 13, you may not use the Service. If you are 13 but not yet 14, you may not list yourself as a walker or offer paid dog walking—you may still use other parts of the Service. The 14+ walker rule is in addition to (not instead of) the 13+ rule. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, as applicable.

You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet the age and capacity requirements that apply to how you use the Service.

2. Accounts and security

Where the Service supports accounts (for example through a third-party sign-in provider), you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or disable accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised or violate these Terms.

3. The Service; independent relationships

Woof helps pet owners discover walkers and coordinate booking requests. Walks and payments arranged between users are agreements between those users. Nomadis is not a party to those agreements, does not employ walkers as a result of listing them on Woof, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any walk or interaction. You use your own judgment when choosing another user and when meeting in person or allowing access to your home or pets.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Without limitation, you will not: violate any law; harass, threaten, or defraud others; scrape or overload our systems without permission; attempt to gain unauthorized access to data, accounts, or networks; upload malware; impersonate any person or entity; or use the Service to distribute spam or deceptive content. We may investigate and cooperate with law enforcement regarding violations.

5. User content

Users may submit content such as pet profiles, walker profiles, messages, images, and booking-related information. You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the license below. You are solely responsible for your content and for compliance with applicable laws. We are not responsible for content posted by users.

You grant Nomadis a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content solely as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service and to enforce these Terms. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.

6. Moderation

We reserve the right to review pet and walker profiles and other user-submitted material. We may remove or restrict access, and terminate or suspend accounts, if we detect or are made aware of content or conduct that we reasonably consider indecent, illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, or otherwise incompatible with Woof or these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its branding, design, and software (excluding your content), is owned by Nomadis or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted here, no rights are transferred to you. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law permits.

8. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party products (for example authentication, maps, payment tools, or optional Google Calendar for dog walkers who connect an account). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content linked from the Service.

9. Fees

Features of the Service may be offered free of charge or for a fee. If we introduce or change fees, we will provide notice as required by law or as described in the Service. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of paid features.

10. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes where practicable. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nomadis and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amounts you paid Nomadis for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (if any). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nomadis and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we cease offering the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

15. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Nomadis regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Nomadis maintains its principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.

Disputes. You and Nomadis agree that the state and federal courts located in that State shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory arbitration or venue rules that apply to you.

This is a general notice and not individualized legal advice. For questions, contact Nomadis through the channels we publish for Woof.
